Introduction

Children are human, I confess,

Though interesting none the less;

For often one redeeming fault

Is like the necessary salt

That brings a flavor rich and sweet

Into the viands that you eat.

But there are faults like pepper, too ~

And like Tabasco not a few.

So, if you find you have a vice,

Be sure it's just the proper spice;

Of over-seasoning have a fear,

And use it only once a year!

Three hundred virtues to one vice

Will keep you reasonably nice.
